Port Orchard, Washington
Pasture-raised eggs. Heritage pigs. A small family homestead.
We're Joshua and Sherri Kinder — a veterinarian and his wife building a small, sustainable homestead on the Kitsap Peninsula.
Guided by Joel Salatin's regenerative methods and Wendell Berry's agrarian philosophy, we raise animals the way nature intended: on pasture, with care, and without shortcuts.
Our Jersey cow Buttercup, Idaho Pasture Pigs Rooster and Turnip, and a flock of heritage layer hens share the land with a growing orchard and vegetable garden.
Animals on grass with room to roam — season by season.
Regenerative practices inspired by Salatin & Berry.
Neighbor‑first food with honest ingredients.
Simple, honest food raised with integrity.
$7 per dozen
Our hens roam freely on pasture, foraging for bugs and grass the way chickens should. The result: rich, golden yolks and eggs that taste like eggs used to taste.
$250 per piglet
Turnip is due in early May. Idaho Pasture Pigs are a heritage breed known for their docile temperament, excellent foraging ability, and outstanding meat quality.
